Review PARKS lumicon Alp Filter Japan

The Parks-Lumicon ALP Filter, model number 70123010, is a must-have accessory for any serious astronomer or astrophotographer. This high-quality filter is designed to enhance your viewing and imaging experience by reducing the effects of light pollution, making faint objects more visible and improving contrast.

The ALP (Atmospheric Light Pollution) filter is specifically engineered to block out the wavelengths of light associated with artificial sources, such as street lights and cityscapes. This allows more of the natural night sky to be seen, making it easier to spot deep-sky objects like galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters.

The Parks-Lumicon ALP Filter is made of optical-quality Schott B270 glass, which is coated with multiple layers of proprietary materials to filter out the unwanted light. The filter is also multi-coated to reduce reflections and improve light transmission, ensuring that the maximum amount of light reaches your eyepiece or camera sensor.

The filter is 1.25 inches in diameter and fits standard 1.25-inch eyepieces and accessories. It is also available in a 2-inch size for larger telescopes. The filter is precision-machined and polished to ensure a flat and secure fit, and it is designed to be easy to attach and remove from your telescope.

The Parks-Lumicon ALP Filter is made in the USA and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty, ensuring that you can trust in its quality and durability. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced astronomer, this filter is a valuable addition to your telescope setup and will help you get the most out of your night sky viewing and imaging.

2. May require adjustment: Some users have reported that the filter may need to be adjusted to achieve optimal performance, which can be time-consuming.

Its wide compatibility, durability, and ability to reduce light pollution and enhance contrast make it a worthwhile investment.
